The older I get, the more I realize I just don’t want to spend my time shopping in stores anymore. Between dressing rooms, sizing, and doing it all with a kid... I’m out.

Not a single thing in this universe could have prepared me to become your mother, Cooper Michael.

Every single day you amaze me in ways I didn’t know existed, ways I couldn’t fathom before you.

It’s hard to believe there even was a before-you. But there was. And when I found out I was pregnant, I was so scared to let go of that version of me. I was scared to lose myself in motherhood.

What I didn’t realize is that motherhood would allow me to find myself in new ways, ways that wouldn’t cancel out the old me. The pieces just shifted into a new shape, the love settled into different crevices, and the world was viewed through a softer lens.

You are everything I never knew I needed, Cooper. Being your mom is my favorite thing day in and day out. 💙

Celebrated with a road trip ending at Omaha’s @theomahazoo , then onward to Branson tomorrow.

I love this life, and am forever grateful to my parents for loving me enough to make me seek treatment.
