An asset to teaching about disability I think this book deserves to be prominently featured in public and school libraries - something it is not right now. Learning about different diagnoses is something that all children should be exposed to. The ABCs of Inclusion attacks this perfectly. The children in the book have differences, but, at the end of the day, they know what they like doing and they know what they’re good at.

Amazing book This book is just amazing!! I thought it was a fun new way to show inclusion with kids and love that she used the names of kids as the ABCs. I really over how they talked about each kids diversity and how it effects them but also made sure to talk about a positive also. My best friend has two awesome autistic kids and I have seen the struggles they have with other kids not really understanding how awesome they truly are so this book really hits home for me. I also got some extra copies to share with my friends and they can’t wait to read them.

Absolutely loved this !!! I'm currently in college to become a teacher and I really feel as if this book needs to rpbe read everywhere! This book helps students of younger ages understand what some of their classmates are going through and could give them an insight to the world them! Maybe even help them want t0 advocate for easier access for others with these disabilities.

I love this book! I have been following Beth’s journey for only a short while. When I saw she had written a book on Inclusion, I knew I wanted to purchase to start teaching my daughter at an early age about the differences children have. I saw this book was free on Ebook (while I am waiting for my hard copy) and I couldn’t wait to read it! This book is beautifully written and I absolutely love the art work that was done throughout the whole book. Beth I am so proud of how hard you have worked to get this in print and I absolutely love it! I can’t wait to continue teaching my 18m old about the different disabilities children have so she will grow up and be kind to everyone!! Thank you for this book.

A Wonderful Book This book offers a real introduction to several different kids and their personal struggles, yet the book does this by considering them all as friends. The diversity and careful way of ensuring that all stories have a positive tone are exceptional. While it can be hard for younger kids (and even adults) to actually pronounce some of the disabilities included in the book, it is also a great opportunity for education and helping kids understand diversity and disability without sugar coating what all these kids are really going through. A masterpiece and essential for any young children or those who work with them!

Wonderful children’s book This book is amazing. I had the pleasure of hearing this book read by the author to my daughter’s kindergarten class. To see the kids excitement and joy and questions they had was so cool! This is truly a great children’s book! My daughter and I love it!!

Awesome book on inclusion This is an awesome book on inclusion, it shows young children that other kids may deal with challenges, but are still just like them! This is definitely a book that an adult needs to read to young children as their are big words, but is a great learning tool for learning new things. To address some things said in another comment, the children in this book are real children, the information given about them is specific to that particular child. It is a great teaching moment to be able to explain that not all children with this condition have these effects.

Kind Words

"It's so important for kids to understand inclusiveness at an early age and this book is a great way to introduce what are normally complex topics in simple terms for all ages! As an individual who was born with a hearing loss, I only wish this book was around when I was kid. It's engaging, the illustrations are well done and I believe every kid should read this one!"

"In her beautiful children’s book—as in her daily life—Beth is bravely and honestly using her own journey as a mother of a young deaf son to highlight the journeys of other exceptional children. Her voice of sensitivity, respect, and advocacy comes through in every carefully chosen word and engaging illustration...As an Early Intervention specialist and the wife of a Deaf adult, I am grateful for this work of Beth’s heart."

"It is crucial for children to learn the meaning of true inclusivity and acceptance of others, and this book does just that in a way that is relatable and accessible for all...This book is a game changer for the way we think about inclusion, and I'm so excited for more people to read it and be touched by its message."

"I’ve read to each of my three kids their entire lives, and I’ve never seen a book that addresses kids with different kinds of extra needs quite like this one does. This a perfect age-appropriate tool to help children learn about friends and peers who may seem different from them, but are really so very much the same. Beautiful illustrations and informative, engaging text — I recommend it for any child!"

“Every child and classroom needs a copy of this book. Kids benefit greatly by seeing themselves represented in what they read—this book does that beautifully. It’s a great book for all kids to better understand and embrace those who have differences.”
